Soulsville Revolutionary Writers Reading Series

When it was decided that sixth grade students from The Soulsville Charter School would put on a literary reading, we decided to take things up a notch. We partnered with Story Booth and Crosstown Arts to prepare the venue, printed booklets of the children’s work, designed posters, and opened it to the public. The kids killed it, and the house was packed—standing room only. It was so successful, in fact, that the event has since become a regular annual tradition.
